how it all started
Having been inspired by Alexander Armstrong and Giles Coren who created a BBC program focussed on the booze that best reflected their Christmas spirit, we set out to do something a little more structured, and exciting.
The concept grew from a simple idea to have 12 drinks that reflected the joy and excitement of Christmas to almost a competitive event with cocktail mixing and sharing.
So from humble beginnings the 12 Drinks has emerged – we hope you enjoy the concept and add joy to your Christmas – and always being responsible!
adding joy!
Once you understand the basic principals of the 12 Drinks of Christmas the joy begins.
Often, when explaining the event, initiates are surprised to learn that the 12 Drinks occur on one day, usually Christmas Day, not over the 12 Days of Christmas.
There have been occasions where the 12 Drinks rules have been modified to suit participants, and the way the day flows. Oh, we meant to mention, there are rules…
